Spring Academy Account Management Changes

New-user registration has changed! Please see the User Registration Instructions.

Broadcom Inc. recently acquired VMware (Press Release), which owens Spring Academy. As a result of the acquisition, all Spring Academy accounts (i.e. VMware Customer Connect) are being migrated to Broadcom support accounts.

Don't worry! Your Spring Academy data, history, teams, and any applicable exam vouchers will not be lost.

Please take action as soon as you receive an email titled ACTION NEEDED: Migrate your VMware Support Account to Broadcom. You must activate your Broadcom support account and update your profile information to continue using Spring Academy. Emails are sent out in batches and we expect all emails to be delivered by May 6, 2024.

To activate your Broadcom account, follow the instructions in the email, or refer to this article for more detailed instructions. Starting May 6, 2024 you will use your new Broadcom support account credentials to log in to Spring Academy.

How do I activate my Broadcom Support account?

By May 6, 2024 you should receive an email titled ACTION NEEDED: Migrate your VMware Support Account to Broadcom. When you receive this email, click the unique link within and follow the prompts that begin with resetting your password from the Broadcom screen. You can refer to this article for detailed instructions.

Once you activate your account successfully, you will be directed to the Broadcom Support Portal, where it will show you as logged in, with your name appearing in the upper right of your screen.

Starting May 6, 2024 you will use your new Broadcom support account credentials to log in to Spring Academy.

When do I start using my new Broadcom credentials on Spring Academy?

May 6, 2024. Please continue using your VMware account credentials until this date.

I did not receive an email about migrating my account, or I cannot access it, or the process did not work. What do I do?

We expect all emails to be delivered by May 6, 2024.

What happens if I do not activate my Broadcom support account?

After May 6, 2024 you will not be able to log in to Spring Academy.

Will my Spring Academy data be lost?

No. All of your Spring Academy data, history, teams, and any applicable exam vouchers will not change.

How will these account management changes impact Spring Academy?

There should be no changes to Spring Academy other than the backing user account management system. This means the following might change, but will still have the same functionality:

New User Registration Instructions

Spring Academy user accounts are managed as Broadcom support accounts.

You will complete most of the registration process on the Broadcom Support Portal.

  1. Enter your new email in the Spring Academy Log In or Register page.

  2. You will be redirected to the Broadcom Support Portal User Registration page, where you will finish the registration process.

    Reenter your email on the Broadcom Support Portal User Registration page.

  3. Verify your new account.

  4. Complete user registration on the Broadcom Support Portal.

  5. Log in to the Broadcom Support Portal.

  6. Navigate back to the Spring Academy Log In or Register page and log in with you new account email.

    You might experience several page redirects.

Congratulations, you have registered for Spring Academy!

Troubleshooting

Try these solutions if you encounter issues registering for a new account or signing in.

I keep getting sent to the User Registration page where my registration fails with a "User already Exists!!" message.

Log in to the Broadcom Support Portal first, then try logging in to Spring Academy.

Login is failing with an "Unable to sign in" error.
